Yesterday, as I sat prepared to hand over the $2k for cataract surgery on our dog (that we love so much we'd pay 10x that for) - this woman comes out of the weave/braid store next door carrying her son - who is wearing the now infamous number 7 Falcon jersey.
I just don't understand it.

Birdie is just an old nickname I had back when my hair was super short. Most people around here know me as Adora. But my friends who really know me call me Mandy. Confused yet?
Yeah, I should probably suffer from multiple personality disorder.
This is the place where I've documented my journey to being healthy. I have struggled with being healthy my entire life. I adopted poor eating habits I learned from my family and their inactive lifestye. After reaching an all time high of 205 pounds, I decided to change things for good. For a long time I focused soley on the numbers. I lost 50 pounds in a two year period. I'm at a comfortable place now and I've chosen to give up chasing an elusive scale related goal and instead focus on my eating habits and fitness. Here are my stories, my struggles, my advice and my opinions. I hope that you'll find something here that motivates you to be healthy too!
